I would say NO ! Hope you get answers from others on this forum. You don't as a general rule, mess with DC until it becomes a problem for you, e.g. contraction of 50 to 90 degrees. My father has had nodules for about 20 years without contraction and not that big of a problem.
Remember that there are many people in the medical profession who know very little about DC, including doctors and physical therapists.

I am not a doctor, but I have DC and have read all the material I can find on the internet over the last few years.

I also say "NO" to your question. I don't see any benefit to the procedure your describing. I haven't heard of it being done, either. Maybe you could ask your doctor for a bit more of an explanation and pass it on to us - I don't want to second-guess him. Does he have experience with DC?
