Answer
Aponeurotomy

Does anydody know of a doctor in Iowa that can do this procedure? Is there a list of qualified doctors in the US somewher? My wife has Dupuytrens and we are considering surgery at this point.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Answer
Check this site. Do not let them cut your wife

This is Dr. Eaton's site. Please check it out.
Read, read and read more before you let them do any cutting on your wife's hand! This is a far better alternative.

Answer
DUPUYTRENS

HAD MY HAND OPERATED ON 19 DAYS AGO. THE BABY FINGER IS NOW PERFECTLY STRAIGHT WITH FULL MOVEMENT ALTHOUGH A LITTLE STIFF. DR OMAR HUSSAMY OF VERO BEACH, FL DID THE SURGERY AND HE SAYS OPERATING IS THE BEST PROCEDURE. I'M REAL HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS AND HOPE IT DOESNT COME BACK

I've had 8 surgeries and this last Nov. had a NA done by Dr.Eaton on one of my fingers. Wished there had been NA for the previous ones, could only do NA on the one that hasn't been operated on before. Am really pleased, even if it comes back I would go back to him. Had the surgeries and it still came back and my hands are all messed up with scar tissue etc. Would advise anyone to go the NA route first because sometimes after surgery you cannot go to NA.

I do hope the operation on your finger will be a success.
As to your surgeons advice that surgery is the best, is your surgeon educated in benefits of NA? My surgeon used to can NA but is know coming around to seriously looking at this proceedure. Why because operations lead to scarring, degrading of skin thickness and flexibility.
