Using Xiaflex/Xiapex in the feet
Does anyone have a lead on a doctor willing to try xiaflex on the feet? (I've a band on my big toe that is generating pain as I walk.)
I've not yet found a clinical trial for xiaflex use in the feet.... Anyone seen a clinical trial for this off label use of the collagenase?
Thanks

Re: Using Xiaflex/Xiapex in the feet
Hi Richard
I had Xiapex injections in my hand in November and my fingers are now straight again. As I understand it Xiapex has not been approved for use in the feet as the primary function of the drug s to dissolve cords not nodules.
I have small but growing nodules in both feet so I am going to keep my research up in the hope that approval will come through. It certainly seems to be the best hope for us.
Best wishes

Re: Using Xiaflex/Xiapex in the feet
I am aware of one surgeon in the UK who has used Xiapex with Plantar Fibromatosis of the feet. I do not know the outcome other than that it appears 'encouraging'. Send me a private message if you are in the UK and are interested.
