| Text | I have had several nodules on both feet for about 4 years, the left foot being the worst. The only treatment I've had thus far has been one steroid injection and it did not work. I insisted that my podiatrist remove the nodules on my left foot but am so thankful he refused. He stated that they usually come back with a vengence and that is what I have been hearing from those who have had the surgery. I have heard about taking NAC supplements, using Verapamil gel and getting enzyme therapy but don't know much about any of these treatments. I have been taking glucosamine chondroitin but have heard it can increase the size of the nodules so have stopped taking them. I am also having my thyroid removed as I have several nodules surrounding it so am curious about the auto immune disease aspect of the LD condition. I agree that not enough is known about this condition but have gained much peace of mind knowing there are so many others who are suffering along with me. Strength in numbers! |
