dupuytrens

i too have dupuytrens and at this time i am only taking vicodan for the pain.I have read fairly extensively on the subject and am heartbroken over the prognosis. I am 42 y.o. and have always been very active and energetic, At first i had a knuckle that was a little tender and thought that i had a cyst until the first dr. appt. that was a year ago and D.C. has moved swiftly. At this time it is in most of my fingers and one palm and one foot, if anyone has any ideas for me it would be greatly appreciated

Greg, please do your research on NA. It is a awesome alternative to conventional surgery.

Sorry to hear your plight. I am 10 years younger and it is moving fast for me too, in both hands now. I tried NA and I would suggest it first but it has come back on me very quickly and now I must consider traditional surgery. Keep your mind open to both options but try the less invasive one first, maybe it will hold major surgery off by a year or 6 months...for me it was a month. Good luck - I'm on Celebrex by the way for the pain and it works well..sort of an arthritic (I suppose) type pain that I have.

waiting

It's been just 2 months since my ring finger went under the knife and after reading most of the posts here I guess I'm in the same boat as many of you. Pain at night, swelling in the morning that makes it impossibe to make a fist. By mid-afternoon, after my exercizes, I can almost make a fist, although with some pain. The Dr. said it would take 3-4 months to recover, and I'm counting the days......thanks for the support here, Bob

steve and or peggy

thanks for the responses you two gave but i am unsure what NA is? I have yet to find anyone to talk to about this, except my dr. and you two. So again thanks. I never open mail when i don't know who it's from, but if either of you can help me out, write me and in the subject say who you are and whats its about....thanks for caring Greg
