Dr Kline

Frances said:
"Infact, it appears that Dr. Kline's experience with NA is seeing it performed on his own hands."

I have spoken with Dr. Kline's office, and he has actually had his hands treated by first Dr L, who also gave him a training VCD back in 2002. He had a second consultation/treatment by Dr. Eaton when the Dupy recurred. He also has spent time with Dr Pess in New Jersey and is going to Paris in two weeks for a round with them all as well.

You might want to be careful with your disparaging remarks, Frances - a little research always pays off. We don't want to discourage physician interest in this technique, do we?!!

NA Doctors near Denver?

My local Hand Surgeon say NA wouldn't help me. I have a 35 degree contracture of my right ring finger.

Are there any NA doctors near Colorado I can get an opinion from? What does NA do to get rid of the nodules and cords in my palms?

John, if you look on Dr. Eaton's website you will see pictures of fingers that he did NA on that were significantly more than 35 degrees. I am scheduled with Dr.Eaton for a week from today........and mine is about 95degrees, if I understand the measurements. Don't give up!

na

Hi Larry,

Nope, don't want to discourage anyone. Great to hear Dr Kline is going to Paris for his training. Sorry to sound like a harp, but I'm protective of NA's integrity.

If anyones licking a wound think of this....my vigilance helps the current NA doctors financially by keeping it out of the hands of the less capable and therefore off every street corner. And better yet... I'm starving some poor malpractice lawyer. ;-) Wait a moment...I think that point makes it a 'Double Bonus' from a doctors prospective? N'est pas?

Have a great night,

Frances

na

Any view as to whether it is preferable to do NA early or wait for disease to continue. I am 58 year old male with contrature in middle finger of left hand. Really only happens each night. Wake up with finger curled to palm. Can straighten out with some discomfort and sometimes pain. Seems to do fine all day, but for tight knuckle. Thinking of having NA, but dont know timing issue. Will probably do Florida or New Jersey, since I am in Washington DC

Jim is right

Hi John,

From what I've read and been told, it is absolutely better to get treatment with NA as early as possible. This is a procedure that can be repeated as needed, there is no real rehab or scar tissue.

This is the opposite of conventional surgery -- they want you to wait until it gets worse and worse and then you have to deal with rehab and scarring also.

Dr Pess has been highly recommended here and he is pretty close to your neck of the woods.

John, if you can pull the finger straight and it will stay there, you don't have Dupuytren's Contracture.

DR. EATON

I DEVELOPED DD.. IN 1997.. I went to certified hand surgeon in California.. He said I would need to conventional surgery.. I searched and watched this site for one and a half years until Dr. Eaton arrived in Florida..My litle finger on left hand was curling to 85 percent... I got up the courage to fly to Florida and see Dr. Eaton.. after twenty minutes my finger was at 30 percent.. I t was hard to believe....NOOOO PAIN...NA is the only way for me... I have a follow up appontment after two years, next May. Little finger has curled some.. bending inwards..instead of down..wierd...But.. a heck of alot better..I STRONGLY SUGGEST CHARLIE EATON..Those of you that have gone knows what a comfortable feeling you have in his office and likes to be called Charlie.....DO NOT DO TRADITIONAL SURGERY.....
If you are lucky enough to have medicare..that covers a tremendous amount of the cost.....120 for one hand and 80 for the other on me.....Flight and hotel costs are the expenses.. If you call his office.... the office will tell you of hotels that give discounts if you are referred by Dr. Eaton...GOOD LUCK
