Cost of NA by Dr Eaton

Hi I am thinking of calling Dr. Eaton for an appt. I live in Dallas so will have to fly. I know Dr. Eaton doesnt take insurance and I was wondering if anyone would share with me the cost of NA with Dr. Eaton? I know this is personal and hate to ask, but I need to save a little before I go. I am sure it varies depending on severity, etc. but I would just like to get a ballpark idea. My email is patandpaula@sbcglobal.net if anyone wants to share with me. My hands especially the right one have been really painful since this all started eight months ago and I'm tired of the hurting all the time. I do have a bony lump on my pip little finger and I guess what is a cord forming from that pip joint going down, which is making my little finger contract. The bony lump kinda scares me because I havent seen anyone mention having bony lumps, only nodules and cords, but I don't know what else it could be. Anyway, I appreciate any input. Thanks a lot

Re: Cost of NA by Dr Eaton

Couldn't the clinic provide you with a rough estimate of the to be expected cost?

Yes, Wolfgang, after I posted, I called them and they gave it to me (I always seem to do everything backwards) and they were very nice. Now all I have to do is figure out how to send pics!! I am pretty much technically challenged and will need to get a camera. They were so nice (valerie) but thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

Re: Cost of NA by Dr Eaton

patand paula,

The picture process is almost a formality. An interview will almost do the job. I've never heard of a report where pictures disqualified someone. However, because most of us who have seen Eaton needed to travel some distance, the last thing he want's to say is that he can't do NA on you. However, if you have sufficient contraction and have not already had surgery on that hand it's really a slam dunk.

There must be someone you know with a digital camera who can shoot and send it.

Re: Cost of NA by Dr Eaton

I have made the trip to Jupiter, FL to see Dr. Eaton and to have the NA procedure done. I too live in Texas and that trip was quite costly. I just had a NA procedure done 2 weeks ago by Dr. David Hildrith in Houston, TX He did a great job and I am very pleased. He was trained by Dr. Eaton. He is a well known hand specialist. Dr. Hildrith elects to have the procrdure done in the hospital. My insurance covered it.
See http://www.davidhildrethmd.com/home.html
I would have it looked at as soon as you can.

Best of luck...........

Which insurance company? And was it an HMO? PPO? Traditional?

Anyone else know of insurance plans that covered this? What type plan?

Does anyone know if Dr. Hildrith accepts Medicar/secondary Insurance?
I had an appointment with a family Dr. and he diagnosed Dupuytren. It came upon me in an instant it seemed.

Re: Cost of NA by Dr Eaton

Hi:

I just completed my research about Dr. Eaton and NA. My insurance will not cover the procedure either.

Here is what I found:
Consultation: $300
Each finger treated: $600
Nodule injection: $199/injection

If you call your insurance company to learn what is covered, the procedure code is 26040.

I've heard great things about both the procedure and Dr. Eaton, so I think it is worth the investment.

Hope this helps!
