Re: FIXXGLOVE
Regarding working out, I hit the gym 3-4 days a week. It’s not a problem. Don’t let this get in your way!!

I managed to get the left medium FixxGlove offered by the same seller as my left hand has a very mild contracture on the middle finger and I'd like to keep it that way -- very mild!
So I got it today and it is SO comfortable compared to any of the various splints designed for my right hand after my recent surgery. My right ring finger contracture is gradually getting worse; she keeps remodeling the splint she made, because it was starting to give me pressure sores. I have too much contracture for a FixxGlove in that finger now, but I do wonder how it would be if I'd started with a FixxGlove right after surgery, when my finger was nearly straight.
Still looking into RT.

Re: FIXXGLOVE
I started with fixxglove right after my third NA procedure and it’s been fine ever since. So yes, get your bad finger straightened out and use the fixxglove!

Re: FIXXGLOVE
I am really interested in getting a Fixx Glove but I cannot figure out how to order. Even when I choose English language once it is in my cart no longer is on English and I cannot seem to get to the actual checkout. Would anyone be kind enough to help me through this? I am brand new and would really like to get one of these. Thank you so much, in advance, for any guidance.

Re: FIXXGLOVE
The Company producing and selling Fixxglove recently changed owneship, therefore I can't really say who is nowadays distributing it e.g. in the USA. Why not contact them and ask what to do?
Arthroven GmbH Margarethe Trawl-Str. 38 78052 Villingen-Schwenningen

Alternatively, if you are living in the USA, you could try DanMic in California http://www.danmicglobal.com/FixxGloveOrthosisPalmarV-2.aspx

Re: FIXXGLOVE
Can I ask this...did all of you who are using the FixxGlove have a doctor fit you for it? Or did you fit it (any bending, etc) yourself?

Re: FIXXGLOVE
I would buy the version of the Fixxglove where the metal support is on the palm side and not on the top of the Hand. Also, personally I found the textile, washable version better than the leather one.
I my view it is simple to adapt the metal inlay yourself. The glove should be convenient to wear and not press on the finger joints because that would inflame them eventually. You best know yourself when it is most convenient.

Re: FIXXGLOVE
Thank you so much for your replies. I appreciate them more than you know. I feel very lost right now, and scared, with this diagnosis so your kindness in taking time to reply has been greatly appreciated.

My husband ordered mine and he can't find the receipt but he said it was in San Jose, California. He ordered it when I was first diagnosed with DD but no contracture thinking it would keep my fingers from fisting up during the night. I have to say because I suffer from insomnia I used them for maybe a month but they were not comfortable when trying to drink water or go to the restroom during the night. For me it may have been overkill since I don't have contracture. I definitely will use them if I start noticing any contracture.
Good luck.
