Do others find it takes a long time to develop?
I was diagnosed with Dupuytren's at age 43, now 54. My father had it, (and had a finger amputated pre-1940). In all the years I've had it, it has not really worsened or caused me major inconvenience. I don't have much of a contracture, just the palm lumps and pits and slightly stiff tendons. Any chance I'll get to the grave without it worsening? Or will it eventually, or suddenly become bad? Some of you out there are obviously a thousand times worse!

Vengence dupuytren~sq~s now
Don't trouble trouble until trouble troubles you.
You may get through 2 lifetimes without getting any worse.
If fingers commence to bend and reach 20 degrees, then it will be time to seek further advice.
Good Luck
