Peronie~sq~s - post surgery
If the surgery offered is 'Nesbitt's plycation', where the offending cord/plaque is cut into (about) three times to release its 'restraining' effect and a 'balancing' stitch inserted exactly opposite the cord, then I would say that a FURTHER 1cm~2cm of length is lost (double that estimated by surgeon) from a START of around 5.5~5.75in. However, six years on & I'm (still) perfectly 'straight' and 'doggy' style gives satis. to me and partner. Can't comment on 'missionary' - partner doesn't like it (never did). Hope this helps a bit

Topical Verapamil
I've been using verapamil for my Dupuytren's in my hand with some relief/success. Evidently it was originally developed (and is FDA approved I believe) specifically for treatment of Peyronies. Their web site is pdlabs.net. Good Luck

Peyronie~sq~s
I was diagnosed with Peyronie's about 6 years ago, and the medication prescribed by my urologist is primarily for gout. (No, I don't remember the name of it.) I was warned that there was a SMALL chance of SOME diarrhea...and when I went in for a follow-up (two weeks later), I had lost about 15 pounds! (I stopped taking it two weeks after the second appointment.) I wouldn't take that medication again, but as I first said, it's primarily for gout...not Peyronie's.
Peyronie's has caused me some problems (I think all you men know what I'm saying!), but I think I can live like this for now. (I JUST WISH IT WOULD BE BETTER!)

Mark, I think you are asking your question in the wrong forum. Also, beware of having surgery in the U.S. Tom

PD on this forum
Hello. I am having PD too. It's a nightmare all my life, don't know who to turn to for help. Since I discovered this disease on the internet, I'm very keen to treat it. How much does it cost to do Nesbitt's Plycation in your country?
Thank you.

PD on this forum
Note to all regarding PD. Use the other forum on this website. There is a lot of help out there for you. However, there has been some reports that Dupuytren's and PD are related somewhat. Just check out the posts under the Peyronie's forum. Good luck on a treatment that works for you. By the way, there seems to be no cure, just relief with the right treatment and proper exercise of the plaque formation. Read all the posts under the PD forum.
