ALOE VERA

I don't believe you were properly diagnosed with D/C or Aloe Vera would have exacerbated your condition.

Aloe IS A HEAVY COLLAGEN PRODUCER, therefore detrimental to D/C sufferers.

who knows...

yeah, if thats true about aloe is sounds bad for DC, but I got diagnosed with dupe and just had a nodule for 5 months. 1 month later after eating lecithin daily which encourages collagenase production (the anti collagen) and taking milk thistle which helps the liver (which also produces the collagenase), I had a 30 degree contracture which took only 1 week to go from 0 to 30. Stranger things have happened....maybe aloe works in some bizzare way - me I'm not taking anything and will just go get NA to fix it when it does happen.

Surgery for Dupuytren~sq~s Contracture

Your physician is wrong informing your mother that surgery is the only procedure for Dupuytren's Contracture. The Needle Aproneurotomy is available in France, and by two physicians in the USA" Drs. Bourland and Eaton. Scan the posts for further information, or post a request for specific information.

NA treatment

Dear Dr Wicks,
thanks so much for the information. I would really appreciate it if you could direct me to, or send me specific information on where i could find these places where they are performing NA. Do you know of any other countries in which this procedure is performed, such as in Australia? Thank you.

Info re NA for DC as requested

Mica,

To my knowledge there are no physicians in Australia that perform the Needle Aporeurotomy for Dupuytren's Contracture.

The NA procedure for DC is primarily performed in France and a few other countries in Europe. Also, two physicians perform the NA procedure in the United States. The following is provided, as requested, to assist you in locating physicians that do the NA procedure:

Dr. Francis Bodois
13, avenue du General de Gaulle
95230 SOISY SOUS MONTMORENCY (Out skirts of Paris)
Phone: 01.30.40.53.88
Email: dr.f.badois@wonadoo.fr

Dr G. Rappoport
Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois CHUV
1011 Lousanne
Switzerland
Phone: 0041.21.324.14.81
Fax: 0041.21.314.14.71
Email: Georges.Rappoport@chuv.hospitvd.ch

USA

Dr. William Bourland
Memphis, Tennessee
Phone: 901.259.1684
Email: bourland@orthomemphis.com

Dr. Charles Eaton
Jupiter, Florida
Phone: 561.746.7686
www.eatonhand.com
Fax: 561.746.3420

Once a decision is made re the physician that your mother would to see, it is suggested that photos of the hands/fingers be sent to see if your mother is a good candidate for the NA procedure for DC. My best to you and your mother. God bless.

Interesting Information

The statistical studies at the beginning of this thread, which Sean posted, are very interesting, and well worth reading.

does anyone know if taking a variety of multi vitamins and minerals can have a negative effect?

By that I mean that according to my research, the odds of having to operate are generally quite low, however, in my case, I seem to have to have had an operation 5 times in 3 years, left hand 3 times, right hand twice. This is quite high according to my doctor. The only thing I do differenty is take alot of vitamins
please help
