anecdotal

Had one large knuckle pad. Grew fast from last year. Only diet change in last month is drinking guava juice every day. In one month the pad is now flat. No idea why.

Knuckle Pad surgery

I had two removed about 2 1/2 years ago. Both grew back worse than ever. I have one other one I won't touch -- learned my lesson. Like most other blemishes they look worse to you than it does to others.

Knuckle Pad Surgery

Just came across this site tonight and wanted to offer my thoughts. I have had DC since I was 29 in 1982. I had knuckle pads removed from my left ring, index, and middle fingers between 1982-85, along with two palm surgeries. The pads were such that I could not bebend my fingers. They never came back. The palm surgeries however were complete falures, and a 3rd surgery was also. I also had pads removes on the same fingers on my right hand between 1987-91. Only one has recently come back, which I intend to get removed. My right palm developed a contracture to my little finger 2 years ago, but based on previous experience, I will try to live with it.

Is anyone else experiencing weakness

Joe,
You have a long term case of dupuytrens, much like my
husband. It's possible that your right little finger could
be straightened with NA, many others have. Why not email
Dr. Eaton some pictures, there may be hope. Good luck!
