Plantar fibromatosis...

Does anyone else have pain from plantar fibromatosis on the mornings?? For me it feels like I've sprained my ankle (pain over the back of my heel just below my achillies) every morning until I get warmed up and walk around a bit. It also happens if I sit for a while then try to walk.

I have plantar Fibromatosis in one foot (left) but have the pains in both feet.

Is this pain due to the plantar fibromatosis?

pain in foot

I have pain but not just in the morning. I have a recent DC and then after the contraction started the balls of my feet started to ache when I walked on hard floors barefoot. Now a week later, my arches feel tight and the balls of the feet ache even with shoes on. I haven't seen the doctor yet but did anyone have PF or ledderhose start out like this?

Ledderhose Disease

Tas, I think that's just a common form of achilles tendonitis. I get the same thing. It comes and goes.

Ledderhose Disease

My pain was only in the nodules in the arch. However, since I really became careful with my arches, the nodules have almost disappeared.

how did you "become careful with your arches"?

Ledderhose Disease

Don't go barefoot. Find shoes that fit very well and stick with them. Be very careful walking up steps with sandals or barefoot. Careful in soft dirt or sand. Careful digging with shovels. Basically avoid stretching the arch more than normal. I have no problem walking long distances, but do not run long distances.

PF

Do you have to have nodules on the foot to have PF/Ledderhose or can the pain I have in my arches and on the balls of my feet still be the disease without having the nodules - or do they come later?

I never had any pain except from the nodules.

Bump on my right foot arch?

I was recently diagnosed with Dupuytren's in my right hand which has been causing me pain especially when I use my hand a lot which is every day for everything. Anyway my right foot started hurting like a stone bruise, so I felt my arch and found a bump this morning. I thought I read somewhere that D.D. happens in the foot as well. Where are the bumps usually found. Hand is still straight. Insurance is not helping since new Disease I guess.

response

DD in the foot starts with a painful nodule on the arch or ball of the foot from what I hear. What isn't insurance helping with...I've had no problem so far with them paying for doctors...it isn't a new disease.
