surgery induced Dupuytren~sq~s

I had one surgery done to fix a trigger finger that was a result of a work injury. From that I developed scar tissue that wrapped around my nerves. I then had a second surgery to release the nerves around the scar tissue. That surgery was a year ago. Now I have developed a pretendinous cord in the palm of my hand that runs down to my wrist. I have poor venous return, not a good grip, palm pain and I am told that I must be predisposed because of my backgroud.( I am german and Irish) I have read about Dupuytrens and saw pictures of hands and mine looks and sounds exactly the same. The doctor said he could remove it but it might make it worse. I guess my guestion is, has anyone had this happen to them? Any comments or advice would be very helpfull in my journy to solve this hand problem

Phase III trials at Standford Hand Clinic

I had the same thing happen to me with the trigger finger surgery...on my post surgery visit the doctor told me that the finger had become banded if it bothered me to come back and see him. Months later I went back to the doctor and he said oh no that's not banded you have Dupuytren's disease. Why didn't he tell about this disease before? I think he messed up that's what I think, now I can't find a surgen to see it any other way because now my hand looks like I have Dupuytren's even tho I keep trying to explain to surgen after surgen that my hand didn't look like this until the surgery. I have been to two other surgens and I get the feeling they don't want to be botherd with me because they fear I might get them involved in a law suit or something...I don't know what to do now.
