Vitamin C

In past discussions, many of you have said that large doses of Vitamin C encourages the growth of lumps but no one has addressed the amounts in question. None of my doctors or surgeons has said a word to me about stopping my 1000 daily mgs. I also take 400 mgs. of vitamin E and a multi B complex. I've been taking the C in that dosage for over 30 years now and I really don't want to stop completely because of all the other good things it does but on the other hand, I certainly don't want any more problems with my hands. How much is too much? Should I cut back to 500?
Have any of your doctors made suggestions? I would welcome any responses from you.
Thanks.
Wendy

How about B6-- I have heard large doses good. What is considered a large daily dose?

Vitamin C

I would not injest more then 500mg of C on a daily basis, however I believe you are reading my info incorrectly.

Glucosamine, Chondroiten and C do not cause D/C or nodules. THEY MERELY EXACERBATE THE CONDITION OF BENDING AFTER CURLING COMMENCES.

Vit C

Jerry,
With all due respect, how do you KNOW that excessive Vitamin C does not cause DC? How do any of us know that this condition might be brought on by any number of different causes. I came down with DC only after years of very large daily doses of Vitamin C. Did this cause the DC for me? Who knows. JK

Phiten

The information regarding Glucosamine and vitamin C was corroborated by PDL Labs, manufacturer of Verapamil as well respondents to my survey.

It has been reported that using the aforementioned items has caused rapid finger bending AFTER the commencement of the curling process.

I agree that no scientific study of which I am aware has ever been performed on the subject matter. That is the reason I mentioned the subject in my THEORY paper.
