Huston we have a problem

Dear Dr Denkler,

Dr Pess has announced that he has gone to Paris, has been trained in NA, and practices in NJ. That means the US now has three Paris trained NA doctors - Dr. Eaton, Dr. Zidel, and Dr. Pess. It also means that the US now has two NA practitioners who are not Paris-trained, yourself and Dr. Bourland. So....we now have two schools of NA and for us patients - this is a problem.

To further this - I figure once Dr. Eaton gives his talk about NA there will be a huge influx of interest by doctors who want to perform the procedure - which means - where do they learn it? Do they train themselves?

I don't know what the answer to this problem is, but from a patients point of view...I would like there to be continuity from doctor to doctor so us patients will feel confident when we ask our family MD's for referals...

Dare I ask - Could you go to Paris? Pretty please?..With sugar on top?

You could make money on it by training doctors on US soil once you come back - that would be a huge step forward for NA and protect us patients. Otherwise - consider the alternative - your competition could train themselves and set up shop next to you. *wink*

Anyways, if this idea doesn't appeal to you - do you have another solution?

Wait a moment

Dr. Denkler,

I just thought of a solution....perhaps ask Dr. Pess to train you....it would not be so far as Paris....and it would give you the Paris-based training. *sheesh* I should have thought of that before hitting return on my last message?

Paris

Dr. Badois replied to my inquiry Feb. 13. I have not heard back from the ohter doctors yet regarding a vistit, even though I inquired after the response from Dr. Badois.
So for the record, I am still trying!

Here is is response:

Dear Colleague,

thank you so much for your interest in the needle aponeurotomy.

If you wish to come and observe our technique, please send an email to Pr BARDIN,
who is the chief of the Rheumatology Department of Lariboisiere Teaching Hospital.
He will most likely authorize you to observe the procedure.
You could meet Dr LERMUSIAUX who is the originator of the NA procedure on friday mornings.

The treatment is performed at the second floor of the Viggo Petersen Center.
The hospital is adjacent to the "Gare du Nord" Station in Paris:
Hopital Lariboisière
rue Ambroise Paré
75 010 PARIS

Best regards.
Dr F. BADOIS (MD)

TV

The show on NA will be shown this month on ABC channel 7 as a medical update from Dr. Dean Edell. I will post when I know the exact date. Usually they only give me a day or two notice.

The show will be over the airwaves on Channel 7 in the San Francisco area on the 6 or 11PM news. The metropolitan market for SFO is about 5-7 million possible viewers so it should raise awareness of NA.

After the show is aired it may be found at

www.kgo.com under channel 7 TV, not radio.

The text of the show will be online, and hopefully the video clip the next day.

It may also be searched under my name, Denkler, Dupuytren's, or you could scroll through the listings for Dr. Edell.

A direct link to a search under my name is:

Explaining NA to others

Dear Dr. Denkler,

There has been lots of talk here about how to approach ones surgeon/md/insurance company/family members...etc about NA. Currently we have no paperwork ... so explaining NA in realtime is probematic. Could your website produce a downloadable pamphlet about DC... the treatment options you provide...your qualifications...location...etc...?

Thanks,
