Overcoming Dupuytren'Disease in one session

I was preparing for a snorkel trip to the Cayman Islands when I saw my plastic surgeon, who told me after the surgury, it would take 6 weeks for full recovery. Dr.Keith Denkler said he would do a office procedure and would straighten out the finger. To my surprise, not only was the finger straightened, but the procedure was painless! I was playing my clarinet that night with no discomfort. Within weeks, I could place my hand down flat with no curvature of the fingers. An associate musician had the plastic surgury done a week after mine, in the hospital. She had a cast on her hand after surgery. She still is unable to flatten her hand and goes to physical therapy twice a week. I not only do not poke my eye while washing my face anymore, but I am almost ready to put on my wedding ring again, and can play my clairnet effortlessly, with no discomfort whatsoever. All this thanks to botox injection and my doctor, Keith Denkler...

needle release

Sorry people; got carried away with comparing my NEEDLE RELEASE which is a cutting of the tissue with a needle to my friend who had a surgical procedure. Didn't have botox. I can put my hand down flat, and could do so within days of the procedure. Still quite incredible, tho.

Pointing my finger

In my humble *biased* opinion, the real scam is that DC has been so neglected by the scientific community that new studies with an eye towards less invasive techniques have been all but non-exsistant. Bio Specifics (US), and Dr Bing Siang Gan (Canada) have struggled along successfully with limited budgets and I hunger for their results. Thank you to both.

In the mean time, the lack of interest in DC by the medical community has resulted in the *unnessary* use of surgery and that is the real scam. As my father would say 'They've been using a hammer to kill a fly'. Yes, surgery is the treatment of choice in certain circumstances of DC...but not for all.

I find it almost commical that someone with so few credentials came up with NA - it tells me how easy DC is to deal with. Dr. L's work in France has reached Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, and now the US. So listen up people, if you are wondering if NA is a scam, use the internet, go to those countries that have had NA for long periods of time and start looking for lawsuits which describe severed nerves and loss of feeling...you won't find them. NA has been practiced for over thirty years without major incident - like I said, the scam is that DC has been ignored by the medical community through its own arrogance and because of this - they got scouped.

No scam

Especially be aware of those that make claims and allegations yet can provide not one iota of supporting evidence.

The poster 'No Name' is particularly adept at innuendo and disinformation and, like any good politician, when called on it ignores the challenge, and instead of responding, results to insults.

No scam

My pinky was bent at about 47 degrees...a PIP contraction. Dr. Eaton did NA and now (14 months later) it is just as straight as my non DD pinky...flat on the table. That is my claim. If you doubt it, I will gladly send you before and after pictures of my finger. I send those pictures every three months to Dr. Eaton.

My two cents

I have no gripe with someone listing any problems or compliments they have *personally* experienced with any DC procedure but it bugs me when someone jumps on board using the word 'scam' when they haven't seen experienced the procedure themselves.

CERTIFIED HAND SURGEONS have done NA successfully....Dr. Eaton has done over 1000 patients, Dr. Bourland has done 20, Dr. Pess at last count has done 60, Dr Zidel has done how many? 100? 500? ...and not a single patient has come back to this forum to complain about the results of NA. Only blessings. The worst that has happened is that a few patients with aggressive DC have had a higher rate of reoccurence then the average patient...and there is nothing to say the same thing might have happened with surgery...and that 'rate of failure' probably holds true for ANY medical procedure...heck...there are many medical procedures can not be used on ALL patients...

Yes there is no air tight hard data for NA at the moment...but remember...there was no hard data for a very long time for those who believed the world was round and yet, they were not wrong.
