Stretching

Does anyone have definitive info on stretching in pre-surgery stages?

I was told by the sports doctor who first diagnosed my DC that there was research that showed that you could stretch this kind of material if you held the stretch for 5 minutes. To date that has worked for me, but maybe I'm just not far enough along. And I could make a case that my stretching has increased the pace of my nodule formation -- but that could be coincidence, too.

Anyway, I ask because I read in another thread that Dr Eaton's site says you shouldn't mess with it. But I can't find that reference.

Anybody know something about this?

Just my opinion, but I think a person needs to stretch post surgery or NA, but will do damage by stretching to control DC.

Needle Aponeurotomy in the UK

I just had NA three weeks ago, and one thing I have noticed is that the lumps remaining from the cords flattened out considerably after a few days. I might presume that the lack of tension (stretching) may be what allows the tissue to relax. And when I was aggressively stretching in years past, I notices rapid advancement of the problem. Did I stretch because of advancement, or was advancement due to stretching? I don't know.
