Transdermal Verapamil-Post if you've tried it.
I am looking only for those people who actually used the gel as prescribed over a long period of time(6 months or longer). I would like to know if it had any positive effect on halting or reversing nodule formation. Please do not post other people's experiences, only yor own.
Thank you, I sincerely appreciate your reponses.

The Real Snake Oil
Used PD Labs for six months and got *Zip*, Nada, Nothing, Zilch. I asked for contact names of people they claimed had good results. That info. was "unavailable".

Verapamil
Did your condition worsen during that period? What stage of Dupuytren's were you when you tried Verapamil?
Thanks for your response

Verapamil
Howard:
This was about 20 months ago. I had just had Open surgery on my Left hand and two months later saw the first lump in the palm of my right. So, like any normal person, I *freaked out*. I showed the bump to my PT and proceeded with PDL instructions. The growth has been steady since that time, Verapamil, or not. I think I actually went for about five months before giving up. I really don't think another month would have done it. I was sick of the stuff getting all over the place. We don't hear Verapamil success stores around here much. My hope now is in NA. The flight is booked.

Verapamil
The company states that thousands have been helped over the years. There must be some success stories out there. It is an accepted treatment for breaking up collagen bands in related Peyronies Disease.

NA
Yep, they told me the exact same thing. Maybe they *are* "out there" and I just didn't become one of them. Ask them for one name you can contact.

new nodule
Randy, if you have a nedule in its initial stage (mm size), radiation therapy would be a good option. Why don't you book a flight to Germany, stay for a week and come back 6 weeks later? Good time for vacation (though currently it seems to rain here forever).

warm beer?
Thanks Wolfgang,
I'm a little past that that point. I have about 9 nodules in my right hand, spread through the palm. The largest is perhaps 3/8" in diameter, so they aren't too large. I had NA with Eaton over a year ago and somehow he managed to break up the largest one into two smaller ones that are recessing (they were probably two to begin with) . I'm currently trying the Aldara, though no results as yet.
Apparently there is a doc doing radiation for Dups near Palm Springs, which is a *little* closer than Germany, so I may go out there. However, I'm sure you and I could have some great discussions over some (warm??) beer. Would they think I'm nuts to put mine in the freezer first for a half out or so? :-)

warm beer?
Randy, if is the prospect of warm beer that keeps you from visiting Germany then don't worry! Us Germans also drink cold beer, though not really icy. 50 years ago so called "beer warmers" to warm up the beer before drinking it were pretty common but times have changed, really ...
By the way, your expenses for a trip to Germany might partially be recovered by the lower charge for the treatment. A radiation treatment in Germany typically might cost, depending on hospital, about 500 USD, probably much less than in the US.
Wolfgang
