Hands and cell phones

Didn't really know where to put this so decided to start new thread. What is everybody using for cell phones? I'm having trouble holding these small phones because of grip. Makes hands hurt. Just curious. Just something else to mess me about.

Re: Hands and cell phones

I use a blue tooth, which I can say call home, or call whomever I want. I don't use voice mail very often and I don't text. I try to keep it simple. Otherwise my hand starts to ache and get tired.

Re: Hands and cell phones

Love the Prius which has a great bluetooth system for hands-free use of the cell phone. Would not buy a new car without this feature, even without the Dupuytren's. At home my phones are used with a headset which also minimizes the neckaches from craddling the phone with my shoulder while talking on the phone and writing or typing.

Going beyond cell phones there are many aids on the market for rheumatoid arthritis sufferers and these devices should be equally applicable to folks with Dupuytren's. As the RA market is a lot larger there has been more attention to helping these people cope with special jar openers, door openers, etc.
