joint pain...is it related?

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. I have Dupuytren's and Ledderhose which is new. I don't have any contracture in my hand and it is limited to only my left hand. I recently found nodules in both my feet. I have widespread joint pain and no one can figure out what is causing it. Many tests are normal and arthritis and lupus and all the normal illnesses that usually cause joint pain have been ruled out. I have knee, hip, back, wrist and various other joints that are painful. My knees and hips are losing range of motion. I was wondering if any one else has experienced this and if it could be related to Dupuytren's and Ledderhose?

Thanks for any input.

Re: joint pain...is it related?

My guess would be that an overall joint pain is not related to Dupuytren's/Ledderhose, at least not directly. MD and ML are restricted to hand and foot, respectively. Still, chronic inflammation certainly might cause pain in the joints and, maybe, also trigger growth of nodules if the healing process of some mini-damage doesn't work out well and resuts in a more or less chronic inflammation. But that's just speculation.

PS: I, too, have pain in my major joints but I had that long before Dupuytren's started.

Re: joint pain...is it related?

I have joint pain as well, mostly thought to be from work. Also, now i am suffering from fascitis on my feet for last six months.
Im only 34 and i feel like an old man. No medical problems that i know of, but seems odd that i am suffering so much and have dupuytrens as well. I have been reading about the fascia (in general) and it seems to be a very complex system. One abstract I read said it should qualify as its own organ. It is involved in almost every area of the body. Who knows, maybe it is all linked together-problem is finding enough people to reasearch a non life threatining disease and an overwhelmed medical system.
