Does anyone know what complications can arise form Ledderhose disease when you don't do anything about it? Thanks!

My suggestion is don't wait.My mother had a saying:- "He who hesitates is lost". I have had radiotherapy on both feet and the results have been very promising. I had a cord and a nodule in the left arch and a cord in the right arch, which was detected during my initial examination. In between my first and second treatment a large lump developed on the ball of my right foot, making it difficult to walk. It is now 12 months since the initial treatment . I had the second treatment in May 08 on the right foot. (30 Gy.)
My left foot is back to normal and the right is such that the lump has softened and reduced in size. I now have no problem with walking.I can expect the results to continue to improve in the months ahead.
I have had Ledderhose for 8 yr approx in the left arch. The right foot developed after surgery in June 07 which triggered nodules in the hands as well as the right arch.Previously I wore orthodics to help with walking but since Sept.08 they are not necessaary. Hope this helps.
