FROZEN SHOULDER

Hi-it`s Phil again-after experiencing the beginings of frozen shoulder in my right arm and recognising it`s connection with Dupuytren`s-thanks to this forum-I went to visit my Osteopaph this Tues. She is very experienced in the Niel-Asher Technique that has withstood field trials succesfully against more othodox medical treatments. She massaged and manipulated my shoulder and warned me- correctly- some of the pummelling would be painful-it was.But-the results were good-she showed me photos of before and after -and there was a 20 degree+ improvement after my first treatment. She thinks my early treatment-5 weeks since onset-means 8 treatments should put the shoulder right.Inbetween-there are exercsises to do.After all my
rather unsuccessful acupuncture(for Dups-over 60 treatments)-it`s good to discover a natural therapy that is working. My osteopaph has treated herself successfully for the same condition! Here`s the link to the website for those wanting to know more-in the meantime I`ll keep the forum posted with my experience--

Re: FROZEN SHOULDER

Hi Mark-
have you been getting treatment for the frozen shoulder up to now-or just struggling on?I`m keen to get on top of symptoms in my hands and arms as they present themselves because I`m a professional musician and need to keep playing to
earn my keep...it`s also great fun!!I`ll keep the forum posted on the Niel Asher technique as I continue to undergo treatment....

Re: FROZEN SHOULDER

Just a quick update on my frozen shoulder and the Neil Asher Technique.I had my second session last week-and it is extremely painful as the Osteopaph digs in with her elbow on the muscle groupings around the shoulder joint. However,I continue to be impressed by the results viz more movement each session and less pain-a blessing especially at night. The therapy isn`t for wimps though-but hell this is good pain leading to less overall pain in the long run and it keeps me playing my music- so I`m in it till the right shoulder completely unfreezes. My Osteopaph reckons 8 sessions should see us home.Hope she is right-I`ll keep you posted.Next session tomorrow!

Hi Phil:

For my frozeen shoulder, I basically had normal chiropractic "adjustments" & stretching.

The chiropractor also gave me some weight-lifting exercises with free weights, plus some exercises pulling an elastic band.

Now I've gotting almost back to a normal range of motion in my (right) shoulder, and am just doing "maintenance" versions of the above treatments.

Re: FROZEN SHOULDER

Hi Phil here again-just back from Essen-radiotherapy on left hand-and in time for my 4th session on my frozen shoulder with the Niel-Asher Chiropractor in Oxfordshire. The treatment has acheived good results-no pain at night and much greater movement of the right arm.Also-the pain of the earlier treatment has lessened.Lorna Dixon, the Chiropractor, has now lessend the treatment to once every 2 weeks and is confident of restoring full movement.I have no hesitation in recommending this drug/surgery free therapy to fellow sufferers-if only Dupuytren`s was so easily treated we`d all be happy!!Congatulations to Niel-Asher and Co. from one satisfied client....

Re: FROZEN SHOULDER

Hi Again-
latest updae on my frozen shoulder. The pain has completely gone and after 5 sessions, the movement is vastly improved. My Osteopath(Niel-Asher trained).has moved my appointments to once every 2 weeks from the previous once a week. She is confident that 2-3 more treatments will see a complete recovery.I`m amazed at the improvement and find myself forgetting that I have the condition at all.If only there was such a simple remedy for Dupuytren`s!!!Still on that front, the radiotherapy I received in Essen 5 weeks ago to complete my treatment has led to a significant softening of the lumps on my left hand-and there has been no significant damage to the skin!!So thanks to this forum and its predecessor at Biospecifics,I`ve discovered two effective treatments!!

Re: FROZEN SHOULDER

Cheers Mark-just a relief to find therapies that actually work!I`ll keep the forum posted on my experiences as I progress with the Niel-Asher approach to frozen shoulder. This therapy has delivered where my 60+ Acupuncxture sessions for Dupuytren`s did not.Nothing like treatments that do the job!
