Physical exercise, limitations

Hi all, I'm a personal trainer, and my wife is a trainer and pilates instructor. She has a gentleman in one of her classes with Dupuytrens of the hand/fingers (hope that makes sense). Does anyone know whether pilates is suitable (it sounds like he's in the early stages, and can still stretch the fingers completely) for this?
Can you also tell me if there are any particular exercises that would be helpful (ie, finger stretches, etc) for this condition?
I haven't seen too many forum entries that deal with physical rehab, etc.
Not knowing much about the condition, I'd assumed that physical rehab/stretching would be fairly important. Hey, I'm a trainer, that's my answer to everything....

Re: Physical exercise, limitations

Thanks for the pointer.
Seems to me like there's a lot of research to be done in this area. A lot of medical professionals give conflicting advice on what to do/what not to do.
I feel for the people suffering from this disability, must be a real burden.
