Re: Radiation in San Diego
I just had my second day of RT treatment with E-beam, here in Florida and I am a bit concerned. My first choice would have been to fly to Germany, of course, but I could not get the time off from work, and I did not want to "wait too long." My left hand has 3 very active "N"stage nodules,(coming on like gang-busters)... And my right hand might be too far advanced? it's debatable?..I was estatic to finally locate a Doc close by that would handle this for me. My concern is that the doctor is only giving me a week in-between my treatments of 5 consecutive days; not 6-8 weeks, as in Germany!....I guess i am asking anyone that has had the E-beam treatment in U.S., how much time did your Doctor give you in-between treatments??.And do you think this is a big issue??..thanks; KITKAT

Re: Radiation in San Diego
Prof. Seegenschmied wants 3 month. I had my first round middle September and will go back beginning December. Just tell your Dr. you would like to follow the German formula. They have been doing this for some time and figured out that this works.
Good Luck!

Re: Radiation in San Diego
Radiation therapy is applied to prevent the progression of dupuytren. Radiotherapy has been very effective for prevention of disease progression in the early stages. It may sometimes show mild side effects, that to very late. This method irradiates the nodules and cords with efficient doses of radiation. The treatment is again repeated after 6 weeks and the process continues.
