Prof. Seegenschmiedt's contact information?
I had RT 3-1/2 years ago in Hamburg for duputren's and ledderhose and have been very pleased with the results. Unfortunately though, I've developed at least 2 new nodules at the base of my thumb and possibly on my little finger. I've been trying to contact Prof. Seegenschmiedt to find out if the new nodules are outside the radiated area - which I think and hope they are - but have not gotten a response to my three emails. I'm trying to determine whether more radiation for the new nodules is a possibility. The email address that I'm using is: seegenschmiedt@szhh.info. Is this correct? Is there a better way to contact his office to get the information that I need? Hope somebody can help me...

If you have the documentation from your previous treatment, it should include copies of your hands with the pen markings of the nodules, cords, and proposed radiation area. At least mine does.
I use this email without spaces, @ instead of at, and . instead of dot: <mhs at szhh dot info>
The Prof tends get a lot of email, and also travels, so patience and timing is key. I used to email on a Friday to Sunday, and sometimes even got a reply that same weekend from his personal mobile, but usually during the following week. I had to wait once a whole week, sent a new email and then got a reply. I also tended to keep them short and to the point.

Thank you spanishbuddha,
I've looked back at my paperwork and I don't think that my new nodules are in the radiation area...but it's fairly close. I started emailing Prof. Seegenschmiedt on October 14, again on the 21st and 28th and then again today with the email that you suggested. I know how busy he must be! I'll try again this weekend if I don't hear anything before that. Thank you so much for your response! Diane

Re: Prof. Seegenschmiedt's contact information?
Hi as far as I know that is the case it was a new private clinic he was involved in setting up Hamburg .Check out the web site. When he was in Essen, the hospital used the old Orthovoltage machine. I watched a U tube video of a lecture given Prof Seegenschmiedt in Eastern Europe about the Cyberknife they use in Hamburg.

Re: Prof. Seegenschmiedt's contact information?
FYI - Just had my last treatment (round 2) for LH this morning in Hamburg. I asked if the machine was the cyberknife and the tech said no. Prof S is a cheerful and friendly as ever:)

Re: Prof. Seegenschmiedt's contact information?
Just a guess here. Prof S would treat far more cancer/tumors, etc. than DD or LD so perhaps the CyberKnife machine is a recent acquisition for his clinic to treat those conditions. But it does permit a more accurate and targeted treatment of radiotherapy so maybe they found they can use it for DD/LD? Though Gloria just reported it was not used on her LD treatment today.
