Re: RT payments...Compiling a List of Insurance Codes
Luba,
My online claims do not go back far enough, so I will have to find the paper claims which might take a while.
I was treated in February 2009 for my left hand and left foot. I was treated in May 2009 for my right hand and right foot.

Re: RT payments...Compiling a List of Insurance Codes
Hi LubaM.,
I spoke to OU and they were nice enough to send me all the insurance codes that they use and the girl in billing actually called my insurance - CIGNA - and got pre-approval. Since then I've decided to go to Germany which my insurance said they would not cover. I will send you a private message with the codes.

Re: RT payments...Compiling a List of Insurance Codes
As promised here is a list of Insurance Codes that I have been compiling in order to share with all of you who are trying to get Insurance Companies to approve payment for RT. Hope this list is helpful. I will post again if more people send me their codes..........LubaM.
Posted by Fjellver 3/6/11 Aetna says the CPT RT code for DD is 77401 and the ICD-9 code for DD is 728.6. I believe those are the codes put in for me at MGH last week where I had my first week of treatments. You can check out the Aetna online at Aetna.com, then find Bulletins, then find the #0800 Policy. It is interesting reading and may help others with their research. Thanks for doing this, Fjellver Posted by Lori 3/3/11treatment in the US near Charlotte, NC. Re: RT payments...attn: Flojo
I haven't been following this forum for almost a month. Flora, I thought your initial RT at Scripps was covered by Medicare. Has something changed or is it new treatment that isn't being covered. When you initially supplied the codes that Scripps used they were identical to the ones Dr. Chang/Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) used but were denied. Are you now eing held resonsible for your treatment costs?

Re: RT payments...Compiling a List of Insurance Codes
Has anyone on Medicare had their claims paid? Lori are you on Medicare? My doc/PAMF appealed 3 times and they are very, very aggressive so if they can't get it paid, I'm not sure if it's covered. Moondanc/Diane

Chobe2/Diane, Sorry about the confusion...I was sending this post to Moondanc/Diane in response to her post addressed to Flora....the message was in relation to how Medicare is not covering RT as of now...Flora is trying to appeal and get that decision reversed...Hope Medicare will start paying for RT, because there are many of us on Medicare who rely on this.
If you have any questions, pls. send me a Private Message and I will send you my email address if you like.
