Thanks Glen - that's heartening news! I must admit, I'm apprehensive about the surgery, but your experience sounds like it was well worth it. Do let us know how your recovery progresses. It may be coincidence, but my hands have got much worse since my diagnosis...I wonder if anyone else gets the horrendous itching and blistering on the lumps? My fingers crack open at the joints, too, every few weeks, particularly on the little finger that is so deformed. Will try an upload a pic when I can work out how to do it!

I get skin splits too, but only in winter. I can keep it under control using Aveeno in the day and Lotil at night. I also have Gormel cream for those really bad dry cases. Itching is quite commonly reported with DD nodules. Don't know about the blistering though, that sounds a bit odd. I assume it's not caused by something you do rubbing on the nodules?
