Trauma
I developed this condition just weeks after a fall where I broke my wrist. I have fallen again today and again landed full on my affected hand. Does anyone know if this is likely to exacerbate the condition as an hour after falling I had severe pain in my two affected fingers.

Re: Trauma
Mary,
I did something similar. I had a nodule in the palm and a cord going up towards my middle finger and basically bent my finger backwards and thought I would pass out. It did not worsen the condition, it only hurt for days. I watched it very closely for months and could not tell any change. I was scared I would develop a new nodule. That was over a year ago and I still have not had any changes in my hand. Hopefully your outcome will be similar.

Re: Trauma
I also first noticed this condition in my hand after I broke a bone and had surgery to repair the break. The surgeon assured me that the two were not linked but there is no way I do not notice these bumps on my hands if they existed prior to the trauma. No flippin way!

Re: Trauma
Thanks to both of you, I haven't had any more pain in my hand but I twisted my foot when I fell and now the insole of my foot is painful at times. Does anyone know if it is more likely to develop Ledderhose if Dupuytrens is already present?
