Australian in Queensland
I have had Dupuytren’s symptoms for about a year but they have worsened considerably recently. Several fingers are contracted on one hand and early symptoms have started on the other. A hand therapist Advised seeking treatment as soon as possible. I have an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon at a Hand and Upper Limb Clinic in Brisbane in a month’s time. I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences of the treatment options available in Queensland. Does the public system offer any treatments fort Dupuytren’s? I’d like to feel well informed prior to my appointment so I can assess the advice I receive. Thanks in advance for any information that can be shared.
