I had the pfizer vaccine. After the first shot the next day my hand with the dupuytren's had more sensation than normal, it didn't quite hurt but felt different, it was back to normal after about a day. It may have just been a coincidence. After the second shot I didn't notice any change.

Hi Everyone,
I received the Moderna vaccine back in April. Very soon after the second dose my module formed. My hand was itchy before but I didn’t know why. When I first saw the bump, which happened rather suddenly, I thought it was a cyst. Then I felt the cord and looked on line.
My condition was confirmed by a hand specialist. I have no family history of the disease, am not a diabetic or an alcoholic.
I found it strange that soon after receiving the second Moderna shot, I suddenly have Dupuytren’s Contracture. Horrible coincidence?
I have already booked an appointment with a radiology Oncologist that I found on the DART Facebook site. The doctor is familiar with this issue and has treated others for it.

To be pedantic, you probably have Dupuytren's and not Dupuytren's Contracture at this stage?

For what it's worth, I have various manifestations of Dupuytren's, having once had a successful NA procedure, etc, etc.
I had both Moderna vaccinations in February/March of 2021 with ZERO impact relative to Dupuytren's.

I also had two Moderna vaccinations, which had no effect on my Dupuytren's or Ledderhose. Amy's diseas development might be just a coincidence? But who knows, everyone is different and reacts differently.

Hello I am new to the forum. I had one shot of the Pfizer Covid at the end of April and from that I developed this disease and also ledderhose disease. I am 💯 percent convinced that it was brought out by vaccine. First I am a healthy 127 pound 61 year old female runner who has never had an issue with hands or feet. I’m not diabetic and have never smoked I don’t drink or anything else connected to the disease My disease has progressed rapidly and my doctors are baffled as am I . Prior to vaccine I had no issues was running and practicing yoga and driving a stick shift Mazda Miata. Needless to say I am so sorry I got the vaccine! I went to my yearly dermatologist thinking I had a cyst in my hand when she was baffled too as I go to her every year to see this develop so rapidly in my hand. 😩I am one who is very sorry I got the one vaccine and will NEVER receive a second one.?

Hi, I am new to this forum. I was diagnosed with Dupuytren on my left hand about 3 years ago. I had surgery on this hand in March 2021. I had my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine in August 2021 and 3 weeks later I started developing nodules on my right hand and a tightening sensation in both my heels. My left hand has also started contracting again. I have now been diagnosed with Ledderhose in both of my feet. My surgeon believes I may have suffered a reaction to the vaccine. It’s a relief to learn that other sufferers may be experiencing a similar issue.

I have had 2 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and a booster, and it has made absolutely no difference to my Dupuytrens.

For comparison are there any accounts by Covid-19 survivors about how going through the disease and possibly being intubated has affected their Dupuytren's?
