Dr. Larry Hurst "Collagenase Treatment" 2015 Dupuytren Symposium

As I was listening to this presentation--
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LY5fyLw...amp;spfreload=1

Dr. Hurst said-- at the 15:00 mark: “Some people ask, ‘why was there any result in the placebo group?’ And the answer there probably is we gave somebody drug when we thought we gave them placebo, quite frankly.”

I participated in this study in 2007 and a few things happened to make me question some of the overall results such as-- "oops, we don't have that measuring device here today, let's say we did" and "oh, if we push a little harder on your finger, the results will be better" and "it doesn't matter if you've had NA or another intervention since the study, we're just measuring your degree of contraction following collagenase."

However, to hear the lead author say, in effect-- we somehow weren't keeping exact track of drug vs. placebo-- doesn't that throw all of the results into question?
