Dupuytren’s hand fasciectomy

Hello. I am due to get this op soon. Would appreciate some advice/feedback regarding choice of anaesthesia? Local, regional or general. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Re: Dupuytren’s hand fasciectomy

That depends on the doctor and you should follow his advice because also the doctor should feel comfortable with the procedure. Some operate "wide awake", some with full anesthetia. Personally, I would prefer being awake but without view of the ongoing surgery, of course. The expertise of the doctor with Dupuytren fasciectomy is probably more important than the type of anesthetia.
