Finger bending on its own

For about six weeks, my ring finger on my right hand occasionally bends over by itself. Sometimes it slowly bends a little and sometimes it bends quite quickly until it almost touches my palm. There is no pain and there are no nodules in the palm of my hand.

Is this a symptom of Dupuytren and has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Norma, this is most likely not a symptom of Dupuytren’s, as your description implies it straightens out again. Possibly trigger finger, or some other inflammatory process. See a Dr. with a view to conservative, non-surgical, treatment. SB
