CHEMO DRUG?
Good morning.
I am trying to remember the name of the medication that Dr. Eaton sometimes prescribes for D.C.
I believe it is used for after effects of chemo...Has anyone ever used it? I am sure someone out there can remember the name as my mind has gone blank....lol

allopurinol
When Dr. Eaton prescribed allopurinol he told me that he thought it may (and I emphasize may) help prevent a reoccurrence of NA. I know allopurinol is used for gout and to counter side effects of chemotherapy. I am willing to give any treatment Dr. Eaton offers a try with the hope that I may have add to the months I have without a reoccurrence.

Thanks Charlie,
I have the prescription, but have not filled it..Haven't asked my own Dr. about it because I don't trust his judgement. lol
Do you take this medication? Does anyone know any reason not to take this medication.
Dr. Eaton didn't seem real excited about it..not that he said anything..just my own personal observation...which could be all wrong...

MUST THINK IF ANYONE NEEDS TO ASK ABOUT A DRUG ESPECIALLY CHEMO THEY SHOULD SEEK QUICK MEDICAL ADVICE (NO BRAINER SO LOOKING FOR ATTENTION ON OBVIOUS ANSWER GO FIGURE)CAN'T TRUST YOUR DOCTOR GET ANOTHER ONE !!

Being an Reg. Nurse for 19 yr's I would question the right of incompetent physician ?? dr. e. as to why he would give meds to people who trust him with out atleast giving clear reasons for such QUACK!!!
