Dc and nails

Has anyone had any experience with nails deformity in the hands with DC? Is there a relationship?

curling nails

Hi,

I am vaguely familiar with the problem, having had an onset after suffering with a Staph infection after knee surgery.

I was informed at the time that the disfigurement was caused by trauma and would disappear when the nails grew and were cut.

There does not seem to be a connection to D/C unless the trauma may have exacerbated your Dupuytren's condition?

curling nails

Years before being diagnosed, the nails of my index and middle fingers(both hands) began curling under. Has anyone else seen this?

DC and nails

I have DD in one finger in each hand. I see no nail problems in either DD finger. The nails of the DD fingers look the same as any of my other fingers.

Nails

I have not noticed any particular curving of nails, but I would say that I have had little white spots on my nails at various points in my life. I believe this may be a zinc deficiency, though I am no expert. However, having been a keen taker of vitamin supplements, I cannot help but wonder if these have had a detrimental effect in some way. It is hard to know what to do for the best... Any comments anyone?
