Dupuytren's, Peyronie's and Lederhose

I have Dupuytren's in both hands, Peyronie's and Lederhose in my left foot. My mother, sister and maternal grandfather all have Dupuytren's. Anyone else out there been blessed by having all three. I also have a swollen knuckle with a bump on it that I think is called knuckle pips but I have been unable to find anything about it. It anyone cares to discuss this please feel free to email me.

Can Dupuytren~sq~s be stopped?

My Dupuytren's hand distortions started about six months ago with two bumps like blisters on the palm of each hand near the middle and ring fingers. It then started to worsen with nodules near the bumps and elsewhere on the palms, including on the base of the right thumb.

A skilled doctor (hand surgeon) spent 15 minutes informing me of dire disfigurations to come and telling me to come see him when the contractures started and led to a 30 degree contracture in any finger. No advice on how to retard or stop or rememdy the problem. Likke the rest of us who have the problem, it left me far from happy.

So I found everything I could on the Web. The following have been recommended, but without any instructions on how to use them any of them:
Vitamin E
Heat or hot water baths for the hands
Exercise
And I have added skin lotion to the list.

I'm experimenting. I have tried all of these for a while with a little success. I know that the disfigurations have not increased; maybe some of them have got smaller, especially new oness that started and got stopped.

I intend to go on experimenting because no doctor I have seen has offered remedial suggestions (except for the new collagenase approach which is an approach to a temporary, or hopefully permanent, cure when the disfigurations get really bad.)
If you are interested in being informed of what I am doing, please post on this forum or send E-mail directly to me.

Remedies

I don't somke or drink. I took 800mg of Vitamin E daily. I have had had four operations on my right hand. I ended up with nerve damage, a frozen joint in my knuckle and a crooked pinky. My sister has has two surgeries and her hand is in reasonably good shape. Both of my 84 year old mother's hands are significantly deformed. Surgery would be pointless on them. As best I can tell surgery is marginally worthwhile and the disease reoccurs. It is also going to show up in your other hand and in my case, my dick and foot also. I would welcome some advancements in modern medicine while I can still function. Does anyone know where these clinical trials are taking place?

needle treatment

Morris Hi
I notice you mentioned vitamin E for Dupuytrens ?
Has it helped and is 30,000 I U s the right strength?
Have you looked into the needle treatment for releasing
the contracture? When do you think Collogenese will be
available for injection?
please provide info on your net search
Gary

No surgery for me

I am looking for positive info on alternative methods ex. French needle, Needle aponeviotomy, collagenase,
I have had Dupuytrens for about 4 years. The affected area is my left pinky. I have been reading all the depressing information on the web. I have seen three surgeons. And of course they all say surgery. Not this woman.

Non-Surgical Cure ?

Hope you can help!

I’m new to the Dupuytren's Forum, but not to Dupuytren's that showed up about 10 years ago. Had surgery on my left hand 2 years ago but Dupuytren's is now back in the L hand worse than ever. So I know from experience surgery is only a stopgap.

I know about the French Needle so I am very interested in info about non-surgical cures. Question:

1) Are there any legit non-surgical cures? Who and where?
2) Is the SUNY Stony Brook cure near going public? Any info on the status?
3) Are there any doctors (or anyone else) doing injections? Who and where?

Please help with any info you have. I don’t want any more surgery!

Thanks.

Can DC be stopped?

Tx to this panel I have learned a lot about DC and its non surgical remedies.

I have had 6 surgeries on my hand in the last 6 years. Even though surgeries have side effects and do not always work well, my doctor at UCLA has saved my hands. My hands do not look good but they basically function.
My last surgery was 01/11/01 (left hand).
I seek alternative treatment as I just learned about them on this panel. I just contacted Dr. Badois in Paris, and I may fly there.

Any suggestions and experienes please let me know.

NA

I hope you all found out about Dr. Eaton. What a shame it would have been if you had missed a chance for NA in the USA. Good luck to you all and best wishes.
