P D N

I had recent surgery to tighten my tendons up and am still seeing my consultant. Yesterday i went for a routine check and he has found Plantar Dupuytrens module and wants me to have surgery asap. This lump is pea sized and does give me pain. Its in the arch just below my scaring. Is this surgery painful and how long before i can walk. My consultant says it will be 3 weeks none weight baring, is this true?? I am so frightened of goingg back to square 1 as i am just recovering from surgery from June 2003. What would you recommend??

medicine

My surgeon told me not to have surgery on my dupuytren's or ledderhose, it only will make it worse. He suggested topical verapamil which I get from PDL labs in San Antonio.

They are also on the internet. Just type in Ledderhose or dupuytren's in a search engine.

It is a cream that is rubbed onto the site three times a day to help reduce the size of the nodule.

Good luck.

They are about as nice and friendly at PD labs as they could be. I got them to admit that the reason for the outrageous price of their stuff is that they need to raise money for FDA trials testing it for peronies disease. I spent about $1,000 with them. Did the application exactly as told.............and got ZIP. Results may vary. You might get ZIP-1.

Has **anyone** had reversal of Dups tissue using this stuff?

Plantar Fibromatosis

I am looking for places I can research alternate treatments like laser, cortisone injections and verapamil. Can anybody give me specifics on finding research about these possibilities? Thanks

cortisone....

go to lynndketchum.com for info on cortisone therapy - it only helps before contractures start.... he has a few papers out if you search for ketchum and dupuytren on PubMed.
