early symptoms of Dupuytren's disease

I am very new to this topic having only recently (about a month ago) found a lump on my left palm which last week became painful with the cords above and below starting to stiffen and raise up. An acupuncturist treated it by inserting a needle just above the site of the nodule (like a small pea).
Now the pea is half its original size and the cord above the nodule is soft and relaxed so not palpable. The treatment was Saturday and today is Monday so it is too soon to tell if this is a treatment that will last.

Has anyone else tried acupuncture?

Information

A friend of mine has recently discovered to have the dupuytren's disease. He does not feel pain up to now.
However I would like to know if there are any treatments which could be effective apart from the surgery. Thank you.

Non-Surgical Cure ?

Hope you can help!

I’m new to the Dupuytren's Forum, but not to Dupuytren's that showed up about 10 years ago. Had surgery on my left hand 2 years ago but Dupuytren's is now back in the L hand worse than ever. So I know from experience surgery is only a stopgap.

I know about the French Needle so I am very interested in info about non-surgical cures. Question:

1) Are there any legit non-surgical cures? Who and where?
2) Is the SUNY Stony Brook cure near going public? Any info on the status?
3) Are there any doctors (or anyone else) doing injections? Who and where?

Please help with any info you have. I don’t want any more surgery!

Thanks.

acupuncture

Acupuncture has been a great help to me. Acupuncture helped reduce my painful nodules. My fingers did not contract as a result. I continue to have acupuncture for my ongoing DD. My fingers are still straight. My nodules are much smaller. They no longer hurt.
