The EMG Test is an electromygram, a test used to record the Electrical Activity of Muscles. When active, Muscles produce an Electrical Current. The EMT test helps evaluate Corpal Tunnel, Neck and Nerve and Low Back pain, Numbness, Tingling: Muscle and Nerve Disease testing.

primary physician and/or send photos to an medical doctor

not likely to mislead you. They actually have real degrees from century old institutes with international recognition.

Your doctor is sending you for nerve conduction studies. The EMG test has NOTHING to do with your muscles. The dr is trying to find out if the NERVES are causing your hand problems. Sometimes things like the ulnar nerve can cause things that look like Dupuytren's and other problems. There is absolutely NO REASON to be afraid of the test. It is painless and is very beneficial.
Listen to your doctor's advice, get the tests done. It can only help you. Good Luck.

Had Emg test done today.
Hand is really sore and my hand had been pricked with needles i presume to test if i had feeling. And 8 hours after the testing my hand is Throbbing.

My doctor told me a while back that it is dupuytrens disease and what was that got me was he still wanted me to get an EMG.

I tale it he wanted to know for definate before he was to surgicaly fix it.

He told me that if the results were to come back negative he is going to do surgery.
