triple artrodesis
My husband was shot as a police officer and after 5 surgeries, this is the one that allowed him to walk without a brace. He does have nerve damage which is painful for him..and he has a slight drop in the foot..but nothing like before. He walks..but does not run.

recovering from TRIPLE ARTHODESIDS
Hi everyone I had this done ... Nov 3 04.. today is Apr. 05. Im trying to learn to walk.... it is very painful and my foot is still very swollen. My surgeon says it will be that way for 1 yr. I can still just walk with a cane or walker... very slowly and not smooth.... If anyone has had this done I would like to hear from you and tell me how long untill I can walk NORMAL again and with out pain. If you are thinking about having this surgery.... DO NOT have it unless you have NO OTHER OPTION... The pain is the worst pain I have ever had.... The worst part of it all is not only does it hurt.... It hurts BADLY for ALONG ALONG time. thanks have a great day !

Hi Sara,
Hope you are feeling better. I don't want to sound not smart. What is this disease I havn't or don't think I've heard of it. Sounds quite miserable, painful and all I hope the outcome for you is good or aleast fair.

thinking about Triple arthodesis
Hello,
I have been having serious sever pain in my left foot for over two years with many misdiagnosis and finally to find out that I have a coalition and need to have this operation. I am very scared but I am tired of wearing cast after cast and now I can only wear a cam walker (boot cast) and can't stand for long periods of time. I have tried everything and believe that the only thing left is the operation.
Please advise on other options I can try before I get the Triple Arthodesis.
