knuckle pad surgery

2 years ago I went to a hand surgeon as there was a knuckle pad on my finger (middle joint). He said he wasn't sure what it was and I needed surgery. I assumed this was very minor like removing a cyst. However, since the removal, I am unable to bend my finger into my palm. The joint that the pad was on will bend, but from there to the tip of my finger will not. Could the surgery damaged a tendon???
I have had physical therpy, but it does not seem to help.
I have to force my finger into the palm and hold. When I attempt to close into my palm without help, it will not move. Any input would be helpful.

Thanks,
Carolyn

Your knuckle pad surgery

You are luckly to have a straight finger. After surgery, my little finger is almost down to my palm, and I cannot straighten it. My only option is to have my finger cut off so I can use the rest of my hand.
