Knuckle pain and enlargement
Why all the sudden is my knuckle hurting and getting bigger? This is new this week. It is getting stiff and enlarging.

Heya patty,
Yeah, i noticed that aswell. I got it on my knuckle on my right hand. the knuckle at the end of the finger.
Also i have it in my left hand on my baby finger the middle pip joint has swollen and i think this is the same for all Dup suffrers. My best friend who has it has the swollen middle pip joint and mine is on its way out.

knuckles and fingers painless?<not>
hi, i have it badly 3 fingers bent over half way to the palm and very bad padded knuckes, on 1 hand 2 bent on the other,it hurts when i hit the back of my hand on something badly, i cant knock on a door anymore they tell me this is painless. i have to disagree with that, i have had surgery on my left hand only to have it come back and be more painful then ever im only 36 and have been a landscaper for 17yrs i dont see me making it to 25yrs with my hands so bad now and dont know what ill do when i cant work no longer each year its worst then the next faster then i thought it would progress

knuckle swelling
thx eddie hope all is well with you , just wanted to help patty and say sorry but padded knuckles are part of your dupuytrens disease they will hurt alittle as they progress, if you hit them on anything,i forget sometimes and knock on a door hurts like hell, like a burning deep in the knuckle so be careful.(mine do)

Do the fingers swell up too?
I've got DD in my right hand and the fingers all seem larger than those on my left...all swelled up and the knuckles are tough to close as tightly as my left. No "pads" yet but is this a precurser to them?

one of my fingers is painful and incresingly difficult to close, worse over 6 months. xray shows calcification, which has been reported in dc before, I found.
