Long recovery tine

The recovery from my first (and now thanks to info about NA, my last) surgery seven months ago was so slow and painful that my left arm didn't get much use for the first five months. For the last two months I've noticed my left shoulder has been loosing range of motion and is painful if I push it. Today I've been diagnosed with "frozen shoulder" and sent back to therapy. I still can't type with the pinkie that was operated on. This recovery is getting to be quite the career.

Has anyone else had such a slow time in recovery that the wrist and shoulder stiffen up do to lack of use?
