NA or surgery

My surgeon was aware of NA but he thought that since I have one main cord to my ring finger that is pronounced and two extensions to my pinky and middle finger that NA might not be able to work on the extension cords since they are not palpable. Has anyone had NA on extension or secondary cords like these that weren't pronounced and large?

Suggestion:

Take some close up digital pictures of your hand at different angles and e-mail them to Eaton for a second opinion. If you don't have a digital camera, get the disposable "PLUSDigital" from Kodak. About 20 bucks.

types of cords cut

Hi,
To answer your question concerning the types of cords cut. I had a very large main cord that ran from my palm up to and somewhat between my pinky and ring finger on my right hand. I also had a cord that had developed in my pinky finger and went around between my pinky and ring finger which was drawing them together as well as into my palm. My contracture with the two fingers was over 50%. I also had a large bunching of skin and tissue on the pad below my pinky and ring finger.
I had my 'procedure' with Dr. Eaton on March 8th of this year. He started at the base of the main cord and after the first 'cutting' my hand and fingers laid straight. He then proceded to work on the main cord some more to reduce the 'bunching of the skin. He did two other parts of the main cord and the bunching disappeared. He then went between the pinky and ring finger and did one 'cutting' between the two fingers. They separated wonderfully.
While I do not have as much separation between the pinky and ring finger on my right had as on my yet unaffected left hand, I have full use and motion of my right hand.
The difference was amazing. In my opinion, close to a miracle.
Go for it, you will not be disappointed.

Len
