Numbness in hand

My doctor has been monitoring Dupuytren's, especially in my right hand, for several years now. Lately, I have had a lot or trouble with my hand going numb and more occasions of dropping items. Can there be a connection to the Dupuytren's?

Numbness

Not to alarm you, but I had DC surgery a year ago and about 2-3 weeks into recovery I started experiencing numbness, waking up at night with my hand completely numb. My surgeon said it was post-operation swelling that was compressing a nerve. He said the sensation I was having was very similar to carpal tunnel syndrome. Fortunately, it went away in a couple of weeks. You may want to have your doctor check it, at the very least to make sure it's not cts.

I have CTS for approx 6 years but after hysterectomy it has become unbearable

I have gone to Kaiser for a long time and they have found nothing to help me or show me how I can control this pain.

I know how to control the pain and help you fix your own CTS problem write me and let me know how much pain and how long you have suffered. I need some people that I can help, but I would need to document my progress with them. I would prefer If you are considering surgery, than I will know that you are a good candidate for my services, I would like to know that you have just about given up and will appreciate my help. I am going to write a book on my success on clearing up my excruciating pain, that I had and would need to see if I really did find a treatment so that will be able to note that my theory is correct.

dupuytrens disease

My sister wakes up every morning around 3:00am with painful burning sensation in the palm of her hand, the pain stops around 8:00am and she has no more trouble with her hands for the rest of the day. When she went to her doctor to ask him about it, without doing any test whatsoever he told her it was dupuytrens and that she should be operated on. I have not been able to read about symptoms on the internet. Any help?

Hey Gary(Sean), why the interest in doctor names? What on earth could you possibly want or do with that info? You asked me and now someone else. Seems an odd thing to inquire about.
