THis is what my son has. The cyst is on a tendon on his wrist, it is not visible or palpable...just hurts like hell when he is fencing. He was told he is not doing any damage when it hurts, just experiencing pain. But I've also read that he should not do activities that cause it to hurt. He's a serious, nat'l level fencer and he hates to stop. The doc said surgery was not indicated because the cyst is so small. Does anyone have any opinions/stories/facts about whether he should rest it, or what works to control the pain?
