Brief research information re NA/DC from the research group at Viggo Peterson Center - Lariboisiere Hospital, Paris, France:

Sectioning digital bands/cords is not a contraindication for a skilled physician having a good knowledge of hand anatomy.

dupuytren~sq~s contraction

14 Months ago I had a malignant breast tumor removed on the left side and they also took 15 healthy lymph nodes.

I was on Arimidex and developed arthitis and stopped after 5 months. I am now on Tamoxifen 10 mg once a day.

I developed Dupuytren's contraction with a big nodule on my left hand which is painfull and red at times and also seems to grow fairly fast. Now it seems to have started in my right hand and I have a hard band from the centre of the palm to the middle finger. Does this occur often in both hands?

Could this be caused or accelerated by the anti-cancer drugs I am taking? Could this be an after effect of the Arimidex, or caused by the Tamoxifen which I take at present?

Please advise
Elisabeth
