Stretching exercises for Dupuytrens and Ledderhose

I just returned from seeing a hand surgeon and foot surgeon for Dupuytrens nodules without contracture and Ledderhose nodules in one foot, Both surgeons recommeded stretching exercises three times daily. I also am using the topical verapamil which takes the soreness out of the nodules.
The stretching exercises for the hands are easy to do while in your car sit on fingers and pull up with your palm. Has anyone else been advised this way?

Stretching and Dupuytren

I developed a loss of some extension in my right hand with the slow development of Dupuytren. Two years ago I took up the pinao again after many decades. I have been expecting my extension to decrease further and I would know it by a reduction in what I can do on the keyboard, especially chords that reach an octave. The limitation has remained unchanged over the two years although the lumps of tissue have gotten bigger. I am thinking that if I use to the limit every day the extension that I have the tissue growth will not take away any more extension.

stretching

A hand surgeon told me recently that stretching, in the sense of putting stress on a collagen cord, might activate the dp ! So, be careful.
