Want to find doctor in Hawaii who treats DC.

Aloha, I'm looking for a doctor, preferably on Oahu, who will treat Dupytren's non-surgically with the techniques employed in France for the last 20 years. Anyone out there?

Non-Surgical Cure ?

Hope you can help!

I’m new to the Dupuytren's Forum, but not to Dupuytren's that showed up about 10 years ago. Had surgery on my left hand 2 years ago but Dupuytren's is now back in the L hand worse than ever. So I know from experience surgery is only a stopgap.

I know about the French Needle so I am very interested in info about non-surgical cures. Question:

1) Are there any legit non-surgical cures? Who and where?
2) Is the SUNY Stony Brook cure near going public? Any info on the status?
3) Are there any doctors (or anyone else) doing injections? Who and where?

Please help with any info you have. I don’t want any more surgery!

Thanks.

yes a list would be good

I don't think anyone answered if ther was a list of doctors in the US that provided alternatives to open surgery. If the list exists, we need to get the word out, if not, then we should create it.

Hard to find list

This forum does not seem to have a search. I did a webpage view edit search for doctors and list and found a few specific locations mentioned, but no comprehensive list. If someone will post a current list, we discuss how to make it easily accessable and keept it current.

Surgeon List

Thanks for the update. One problem with discussion groups is while good for discussion, not good to find specific information in an organized way.

What would be really nifty would be another button on the left of this forum which lists Surgeons and identifies which ones do the Needle procedure. Anybody know who we might talk to about this - I don't see a webmaster link.

NA by Dr. Pess

On Wednesday, May 18, I had NA by Dr. Pess. He is very personable and has a good sense of humor. I got on the table at 1:23 and was in the car on my way back to Ohio at 2:00 o'clock.

I have had a nodule on the palm below my right finger for over 30 years, but only my pinky was curved. About 10 days before I noticed my ring finger bending slightly. As it turns out the pinky was not Dupuytren, but the ring and middle fingers were. I have two needle marks, one in the palm and one above the nodule in the lower finger. There was very little bleeding. The few times I had any pain was when the needle went in, and when the novacaine and cortizone were put in. No pain with the needle work on the cord. My fingers are straight, nodule very flat, no dimpling on my palm. I have no pain at all. Only follow-up is exercise the fingers and wear a splint at night. I want to thank all of you on this Forum. If it was not for you sharing your knowledge I might have ended up with a disabled right hand. And thanks to Dr. Pess for taking the time to go to France and develop his skill in this procedure. Finally, thanks to God for giving Dr. Pess his wonderful talent for healing.
